Director of Revenue Operations

Overview

We’re seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Revenue Operations to drive the systems, processes, and insights managing how we track, report, and maintain revenue accounting across our direct and programmatic advertising service offerings. This role blends financial discipline, operational excellence, and data-driven storytelling, serving as the connective tissue between Sales, Finance, Marketing, Ad Operations, and Product.

You’ll lead revenue reporting, accrual and cash-flow management, and yield optimization, while also shaping how we surface opportunities, supporting our sales effort with both demand clients and supply partners. Importantly, this role will have a highly influential hand in shaping, managing, and operationalizing the company’s P&L, turning data and insights into strategies that guide financial outcomes and growth opportunities.

This is a leadership role for someone who knows ad tech, understands the rapidly evolving digital sports media landscape, and wants to do the hard work to build out an infrastructure to help scale our platform and services during this transformative time.

What You’ll Do

  • Operational Excellence
    • Build and scale processes, systems, and tools that enable tracking, reporting, and staying current with all sources of revenue.
    • Partner with Publisher and Ad Ops to ensure clean data capture and seamless management of cash flow.
    • Oversee yield management for programmatic supply partners and optimize monetization strategies.
  • Analytics & Insights
    • Extract and harmonize data from multiple platforms to deliver actionable insights.
    • Provide client-facing analyses and presentations to guide sales partners’ strategies.
    • Conduct ad-hoc strategic analyses across sales, ad ops, product, and finance to inform decisions.
    • Oversee the preparation and delivery of timely, accurate, and insightful financial and management reports for both internal stakeholders and external parties.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership
    • Act as the primary liaison on reporting revenue reconciliation between commercial teams (Sales, Marketing) and operational teams (Ad Ops, Finance).
    • Foster a culture of data-driven decision making and accountability across functions.
    • Develop and enforce policies and procedures that promote financial accountability, risk mitigation, and ethical conduct across the organization.
  • Revenue Strategy & Forecasting
    • Define KPIs, dashboards, and reporting cadence to align executives, operations, and sales on performance.
    • Support senior leadership in evaluating current performance metrics, new market opportunities and business plans.
    • Provide analysis and frameworks that directly inform how the P&L is managed and optimized.
  • Growth & P&L Influence
    • Partner with the CEO to shape, manage, and operationalize the company’s P&L.
    • Translate operational metrics into financial strategies that highlight opportunities for new revenue streams, margin improvements, and scaling efficiencies.
    • Play a key role in identifying and driving the company toward new growth opportunities, from market expansion to strategic partnerships.

About You

  • Meaningful experience in scaling operational processes and driving cross-functional alignment in Ad Tech.
  • 5–8+ years in Revenue Operations, Business Operations, or Finance within Ad Tech, Media, or SaaS.
  • Proven track record in building forecasting models, pipeline reporting, and yield management.
  • Strong foundation in financial analysis (CPA/finance background a plus).
  • Expert with Excel/Google Sheets; proficiency in Holistics/Looker, HubSpot, and revenue systems (Salesforce, NetSuite, QBO, etc.).
  • Strong communicator able to distill complex data into executive-level insights.
  • Comfortable working autonomously in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Familiarity with sports, live streaming, and programmatic advertising highly desirable.
